Ethicon, today
announced the release of its new ENSEAL X1 Large Jaw Tissue Sealer. Designed
for use in open surgeries it is an advanced bipolar device that provides less
blood loss, less thermal spread, and improved ergonomics compared to as
compared to Medtronic’s LigaSure Impact™.
It is
particularly useful in meeting the demands of procedures like hysterectomies
and colectomies where large tissue needs to be coagulated. It is also useful in
other open general, gynecologic, urologic, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
It has
larger distal electrode surface area which is powered by Ethicon generator with
Adaptive Tissue Technology resulting in 88% less bleeding in thick tissue
compared to LigaSure Impact.
The advanced tissue technology continuously senses
changes in tissue consistencies and thickness delivers optimal amount of energy
for 41% less thermal spread. It also offers separate cut and seal modalities.
Its
ergonomic design requires less hand movements and 360° rotation intended for
better access to the target tissue.
"ENSEAL
X1 is the latest example of how Ethicon is advancing technology to give
