The 21st International Conference on Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy kicks in today at
the beautiful city of San Diego, United States. The conference will run through
July 12, 2017.
The
conference will bring together eminent speakers, medical professionals and
allied health professionals from around the globe. Under the excellent
direction of co-chairs, Dr. Sylvie Langlois and Dr. Yair Blumenfeld, ISPD have
developed an exciting program filled with a wide range of topics covering the
entire multidisciplinary field of prenatal diagnosis and therapy, delivered by
40 invited world-class speakers in pre-congress courses, debates, and invited
lectures, along with more than 200 podium and poster presentations selected
from an extremely high number of high-quality contributed abstracts.
On Sunday,
July 9, 2017, the half day pre-conference courses will cover topics like Genomic
technologies 101 for non-geneticists, Ethical challenges in prenatal genetic
counseling: A case-based approach and Ultrasound to enhance genetic diagnoses.
After the opening
ceremony on July 10, oral presentations, poster sessions, debates and
late-breaking research topics will be discussed: from basic science and
translational discoveries to clinical application in all areas of prenatal
diagnosis and therapy: from reproductive and prenatal genetic screening,
ultrasound and other advanced fetal imaging, fetal therapy, clinical
implementation of new technologies, genetic counseling, patient and stakeholder
perspectives, and ethics.

Society on Prenatal Diagnosis (ISPD) has issued a special supplement of journal
Prenatal Diagnosis compiling all the abstracts presented at the conference.
